University: ‘Aquatic Equestrianism’

For my final project for my Art & Design foundation course I chose the somewhat incongruous starting points of fish and horse riding equipment.  I don’t fully understand how I came to the conclusion that it would be a good idea to look at the two together, but I think that it ended well.  The equestrian influence isn’t immediately visible in the final pieces and is concentrated more in the smaller details.  I don’t think that there’s much point in describing my thought process – the visuals give a pretty clear picture of the project’s ‘journey’, even if they’re only excerpts from my sketchbook.
