Metallic English leavers lace appliqué and cotton bobbinet tulle.

Lacerta incorporates a hood, posture capelet and hobble skirt. Designed to restrict vision and movement, the hood covers the face and partially obscures the vision with dozens of hand-sewn lace blossoms. The posture capelet is cut to exaggerate the shoulder silhouette and prevent movement of the upper arms, and laces down the back of the garment as with a corset. Finally, the hobble skirt is cut with a tight leg fit, with an ouvert back and waist fastening. Each piece is delicately embellished with hand-cut lace blossoms, that tumble across the body, gradually fading, fraying and decaying throughout wear.
